Equipment used: Hand mixer and optional Food Processor
- 1 Box of White Cake Mix
- 15 Golden Oreo Cookes
- 3 Large Egg Whites and 1 Whole Egg (total of 4 eggs needed)
- 8 tbsp of Melted Salted Butter (use real butter, not vegetable oil spread)
- 1/2 cup of French Vanilla Pudding Mix
- 1 cup of Whole Milk
- 1 tbsp of Vanilla Extract
- Frosting of your choice
Directions
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Add your white cake box mix to your bowl. Next, add 1 cup of milk and mix. You don’t want to over beat the batter so as soon as your ingredient is incorporated, stop mixing. Next, add 3 egg whites and 1 whole egg (both yolk and egg white) and mix. Melt 8 tbsp of salted butter and add to the batter along with 1/2 cup of french vanilla pudding mix. Mix well and add vanilla extract. For this next step, you can either use a food processor or crush the Oreo cookies in a ziploc bag with a rolling pin. Place 10 Oreo cookies into your food processor and process until they’re finely chopped. Fold 1/4 cup of finely chopped Oreos to the batter using a spatula. Set the rest to the side. It will be used as topping. You may want use a non-stick baking spray on your dish to prevent sticking. Pour the batter into an 8×8 baking dish and bake for 40 -45 minutes or until a toothpick or knife comes out clean after insertion. Allow the cake to completely cool before decorating. Apply your frosting, sprinkle the leftover processed Oreos on top, and after cutting into squares, use your 5 whole Oreos as a topping. Split each cookie in half and top each slice of cake with half an Oreo. Enjoy!
