Celebrate Father’s Day
I don’t know if you’re like me, but every year around Father’s Day I always get stumped. What do you do to show the father in your life how much you appreciate them for Father’s Day? The dad gifts can get repetitive with not much variation: watches, ties, socks, shirts—not much marketing dollars are put towards celebrating Father’s Day when you compare it to Mother’s Day. So I came up with an idea: host an intimate Father’s Day brunch with his dad friends and create personalized table settings for a special touch. I also created a list of Amazon must haves to plan your own event for Father’s Day on my Amazon Storefront: https://amzn.to/4c78MEI
Give the dads something to munch on by creating a grazing table or board. Now charcuterie boards can get pretty creative, but I created a charcuterie that’s perfect for Father’s Day. It’s got a little sweet, a little salt, and has something to wash it all down. It’s the perfect way to greet the dads when they enter their Father’s Day brunch. Here are the ingredients:
How to Create this Father’s Day Charcuterie Board:
-One 9”x 22” board (or get close to those dimensions)
-12 pack Mini Coca Cola
-6 mini bourbon, cognac, or tequila bottles (I used 2 Casamigos, 2 Hennessy, and 2 Jack Daniels)
-Dark Chocolate
-Milk Chocolate
-White Chocolate
-Brookside Dark Chocolate (Pomegranate flavor)
-Town House Crackers
-Carr’s Table Crackers
-Dried Apricot
-Ginger Crystals
-Blueberries
-Raspberries
-Blackberries
-Red Seedless Grapes
-Green Seedless Grapes
-Mozzarella wrapped Prosciutto
-Cubed Colby Jack Cheese
-Blue Cheesecloth table runner
Father’s Day Table Setting DIY
A personalized table setting elevates the Father’s Day Brunch experience and is the perfect way to show how much you value the dad in your life by going above and beyond. If there are little ones in the house, it’s also a great way to get them involved. I chose my favorite photos of dads with their family, printed out 4×6 black and white prints from Walgreen’s (they offer same day pick up). I picked up blank cards from Dollar Tree along with a glue stick and had the kids paste the photos onto each card.
The brown leather placemats were from Walmart, from the Better Homes and Garden collection. They are also reversible with black leather on the opposite side. The black dinner plates, dinner napkins, and gold dinnerware can also be found at Walmart as well. Here is everything you need to recreate this Father’s Day Brunch table setting:
-Brown leather placemats
-Denim dinner napkin
-Black dinner plate
-Personalized photo place card
-Tan/khaki colored dinner napkin
-Gold wire napkin ring
-Gold dinnerware
